The smart way to use stock market analysts

(MONEY Magazine) -- Securities analysts may pull down huge salaries and bonuses, but there's little evidence that their buy, sell and hold recommendations on big blue chips do any better than the S&P 500 index.

That doesn't mean you should ignore analysts in managing your own stock investments. Their opinions can help - just not in the way you might think.
